    1855, "Britannia" (1d) deep blue, imperf., large to huge margins showing portion of adjacent stamp at bottom, tied by neat barred "1" oval handstamp of Bridgetown, matching "My 23, 1857" cds backstamp on local cover to St. James, May 23rd arrival postmark, Extremely Fine and choice. SG No. 10.

    1875, "Britannia", 1d gray blue, perf 14, horizontal pair, bright color and well centered, tied by two strikes of neat "7" bootheel handstamps of St. James on cover to New York, blue crayon "5" rating and manuscript "Pr Tahama" ship endorsement, reverse with two different "Barbados, No 29, 78" cds's (one an early C4 mark with mute bootheel duplex), "New York, Dec 14" cds duplex with "Due 5 Cents" circular handstamp, Extremely Fine and choice. SG No. 74.

    1848-96, Great Britain to the United States Transatlantic Mail, group of 11 covers and a front including 1859 Scarborough to Mount Holly NJ with 1d red franking; 1859 Scarbough to Mount Holly NJ with 1s green with "Portland" packet cds, several additional 1s uses with New York or Boston exchanges, 1863 Leeds with 6d purple pair to Mount Holly; 1872 with 1d red on 1d entire to Philadelphia, etc.; some faults, F.-V.F. group.

    1857, 1d rose red, Large Crown watermark, perf 14, block of 12 , folded over edges and tied by strikes of "693" barred ovals, matching "Scarborough, NO 7, 59" origin cds on 1859 cover to Mount Holly N.J., Liverpool (11.8) transit backstamps with red "21/Cents" credit handstamp, New York exchange arrival; opened horizontally across front for display of full block; some small stamp flaws, otherwise Very Fine and rare use of a block of ten. SG No. 40.
