    American Samoa Collection, 1900-1918, collection of 7 covers, written-up on Al Kugel exhibit pages, starting with a forerunner cover franked with pair of 20pf German Eagle, sent via the German postal agency at Apia, originating from "U.S.S. Abarenda", the earliest recorded American Samoa cover with 1¢ green (279) pair tied by "Pago Pago, Samoa, Dec 9, 1900" duplex, registered cover franked with a combination of Bureau issues and 8c Trans-Mississippi, UX16 postal card canceled by "Pago Pago, Samoa, Dec 19, 1901" duplex to London, England (only recorded 2¢ postal card use), other registered covers, etc, F.-V.F. and important American Samoa group with the earliest recorded cover, ex-Kugel .

    Tau. Samoa Jun. 23, 1909 P.M., perfect bold duplex strike ties 1¢ green (300) on illustrated "Greetings from Samoa" postcard depicting indigenous peoples addressed to Binghamton N.Y., entire message states "Some native belles", Very Fine and rare, ex-Haber .
