    1852, 3¢ dull red, type II - Brown Cancels, three covers and one piece, all with brown cds tying the stamps comprising #11 Camden, SC to New Orleans on blue folded letter, #26 Miamisburgh OH yellow cover to Lebanon OH, corner flaw, both are ex-Chase and have his notes from almost 100 years ago that these are true brown cancels; #26 Bradford Mass. white ladies cover to Portsmouth N.H.; and #26 "Osyka, Miss." rare cds on piece for this infant town on rail line est. 1854. These are not accidental mixtures or changlings, but rather ox gall or similar., Very Fine group with excellent strikes of this scarce cancel color.
