New Orleans La.; usual filing holes, discolored area underneath tracing that hinged on cover, Very Fine strike of this scarce and desirable fancy cancel, ex-Chase, Hall .

    1852, 3¢ dull red, type I - Patent Type Cancels, four singles with patent cancels of different embossed design to indicate used stamp, one blue strike, full margins or just in, plated 68L1L, 78L2L (by Chase), and 22R2L, one unplated, various ink shade; some flaws, quite scarce from Amonette collection (his notes accompany), F.-V.F., A great item for the specialist.
