Georgia and North Carolina Advertised Covers, 1876-1908, group of 15 covers with a variety of marks to include single straightline "ADVERTISED" in a variety of sizes and fonts. Another with a rectangular enclosed "UNCLAIMED" along with a couple of Division of Dead Letter corner cards. Another with a 1¢ postage due (corner of stamp missing) on Greensboro cover which also two 3-line strikes. 4 covers affixed with Washington/Franklin stamps. A couple still have contents, some faults, F.-V.F. group.

Western States Advertised Covers, 1866-1929, lot of 26 covers. A number of states represented Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, and Oregon (9). Also noted an item originating in Mexico to Arizona and then forwarded to Tijuana, item has official seal from Mexico and 3-line boxed "ADVERTISED, MAR 13, 1911, Willcox, ARIZ. Noted a number of colorful and strong "ADVERTISED," "NOT called for" "UNCLAIMED," and "FORWARDED" markings plus a couple of interesting three-line rectangular marking some enclosed., F.-V.F. group.

Post Office Documents related to Advertised Mail, 1800s, grouping of 13 items. Items include 1833 Schkarie, NY newspaper with listing of letters to be collected. An unused Bill of Dead Letter Mail Material, a broadside type Post Office Department Notice dated 1872 and other Division of Dead Letter regarding violations and other forms related to the advertising effort and costs. Also included is a handwritten letter data 1836. Great collateral material., Very Fine group.
