    Benjamin Cudworth Yancey (1817-1891) was a prominent politician and before the war was the minister to the Argentine Republic under Buchanan. Thomas Reade Rootes Cobb, brother of Howell Cobb, was promoted to Brig. Gen. Nov. 1st 1862 and was killed at Fredericksburg Dec. 13th 1862 while defending the "Sunken Road." .
