    1852, 3¢ dull red, type II, rich color, tied by neat " Steam 5 " oval on blue folded letter datelined "Gainsville June 11, 1852" to Mobile, Alabama; file fold away from stamp, Very Fine and scarce Mobile "Steam 5" steamboat use.

    1851-52, 3¢ brownish carmine, type II, position 24L1L, beautiful rich color, four large to barely clear margins, tiny scissor cut bottom left, tied by partial "Montgomery Ala., Apr 24" cds, matching sharp " WAY " handstamp on blue 1852 folded letter from New Orleans La. that entered mails at Montgomery from a steamboat on the Alabama River, Very Fine and striking use.
